From a strength of 40,000 in the year 1969-70 NSS in its fold has more than one million student volunteers now.In operation in all the 175 Universities, deemed Universities Institutions and +2 level school, NSS presently covers 7,000 Colleges and 1,600 , +2 level. Institutions.
